Some fun things are coming up and I am super excited to share it with you guys! So it obviously involves a lot of polo and a bit of flying as well, you know my usual #FlyingForALiving and #TravelingForPolo.

In a few days I will be getting on a huge Emirates A380 heading to London! It is always fun being a passenger on Emirates and I hope I meet some of my ex-colleagues in the skies. I will be in London for 11 days, oh except for the 2 days I will hop over to Copenhagen to do a photo-shoot and give a few friends and family a hug and a kiss.

When I arrive in London, first a long overdue catch up with my besties will be in place and quite possibly a few watermelon martinis at our favorite lounge bar Eclipse.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will be attending the Chestertons Polo in the Park event in Hurlingham park. I absolutely love this event, it is so social and such a fun way to watch polo. Even though most people are not actually watching the polo, but just there for the social scene, it is fun and this will be our third year attending. If you are in London that weekend make sure to come and check it out, it is really fun and for the whole family, especially on Sunday. Check out my blogpost #MyPoloStyle for tips on how to choose the perfect outfit.

I started packing a few days ago, yes my organizing mania has gone a bit overboard.

I know quite a few of the players out there, but will be supporting team Abu Dhabi as the patron Mohammed Al Habtoor is one of my good friends from Dubai and I am friends with the other guys on team as well. I have watched them play so many times in Dubai and in London and it is just as fun and exciting each and every time. So go team Habtoor Polo!! I also quite look forward to taking some horse selfies at the pony lines and I will be wandering around the grounds scouting out perfect polo styles in the crowd to post on Instagram. If you see me, please do come over and say hi!

Chestertons Polo in the Park is from noon till around 8 pm and when the gates close everyone heads over to the local pub and continues the party. I have quite a few friends living in London, so there will be a lot of catch-ups here and there and the weekend especially will be pretty intense, but so much fun, I can’t wait. By the time we reach Monday I might be a little tired though, but no time to rest, my friend Cecilie and I will be doing some exploring of the city before hopping on a plane to Copenhagen.

In Denmark I will be going with the Scandinavian Beach Polo team up to the location of the event, which is a lovely beach just 45 minutes north of Copenhagen. We are setting up a fun photo-shoot with our partners Land Rover and some of the players, it will be great and I might just jump in the shot and do a little polo fashion series and I will definitely share some behind the scenes shots. Did you notice how I am referring to the team as “we”, well I am now officially part of the #ScandiBeachPolo team (production team, I am still a bit far from being part of a playing team). I am in charge of the social media for the event, so go on and follow us on Instagram and Facebook. We will be doing some great giveaways soon so make sure to follow and stay tuned!!

Scandinavian Beach Polo World Cup

So a photo-shoot, some other practical stuff and meetings in Denmark and then right on back to London, cause there is just too much good polo going on!

Everyone has heard of the Queen’s cup right? It has been underway for a few weeks now, 12 teams have been battling it out for the title of winners of the first part of the British Triple Crown. So by the time I get back to London it will already be the semi-finals and then the finals on the 14th and it will be quite an exciting match no matter who is playing in it. Can’t make it? You can also watch it streamed live on the Guards Website.

The Prince of Wales Trophy will be played at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club and a friend of mine, actually the man who basically got me hooked on polo back in the day in Buenos Aires, will be playing. I am thrilled that I will be able to see Michael play again.

Also I will be taking a polo lesson at “The Berkshire”, with the 2-goal wonder Royston Prisk. I am so ecstatic about getting back on a polo saddle and horse and swinging a mallet. I have been doing my regular riding lessons twice per week here in Bahrain, but it’s just not the same, at all! It’s so dusty and sandy here, the horses and saddles are not for polo and don’t react like polo ponies do and we ride around in a small paddock. I look forward to being on a lush green field and galloping away and then eventually slowing down and trying to hit a ball.

I have a few more fun polo related things happening in between all of the above mentioned, but they are not confirmed and official yet, so you guys will just have to wait and see what’s in stock for my London trip 🙂 So stay tuned!

  1. This all looks and sounds super exciting! And I’m a tad envious of you flying with Emirates, I’ve always wanted to fly with that airline, yet it never seems to fly where I’m going ha.
